I just did a class on a Faux Stained Mosaic technique, that I did get from Splitcoast Stampers. I saw this and had to try it.
I am one of those who has to keep "almost" every scrap. When I get a new set of stamps, you pop them out and mount them. What do you do with the left over rubber trimming? You make your own stamp!
Cut up the trimming into small squares, triangles, and any shapes you want. Adhere them to a piece of card stock of any shape until card stock is completely full.
Waola! Unique stamp made by you at no extra cost. You can use punches, diecuts, or your own designes for the card stock. I would suggest using a card board or a strong backing that is the same shape as your card stock to keep your stamp from flexing too much.
I used the Top Note Bigz Die to make these 3:
This card is using the large butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die that I did for a swap:
Let me know if you would like any info on the materials, supplies and accessories used for any of these cards.
Thanks for letting me post!
